This 2024 kid already sizes up with an athletic frame with room to put on size. Barton is a very good athlete all-around with excellent position versatility on both sides of the ball. On defense, he does his best work in a cover-2 and cover-1 schemes. He displays solid ball skills in the back half of the field. Barton has flashed the ability to fly up and provide consistent run support as well. On offense, Barton showed the ability to get over the top of manned up DB’s and can haul in catches with excellent body control and coordination.

Barton was awarded the “Breakout Defensive Player of The Year” for O’Connor and was the only freshman on the active varsity roster, and seems to be unphased by pressure or adverse scenarios, showing impressive matureness for a young athlete. In the offseason Barton lives in the weight room and constantly works on his craft on the field. He is also a standout on the track team and translates that track speed to the football field.

Barton will have a new head coach this season in Brian Cole and already seems to be establishing a solid relationship with him as he connects with his new offensive scheme at Sandra Day O’Connor. Barton is looking for a school where he can get a strong education to set him up for a bright future. Barton is also a member of Team Impact with Coach Dave Bagchi and is now a member of the My Recruits Family.
