My Recruits Report - 12.01.2020
The Arizona Playoffs have started and some My Recruits Players have risen to the challenge so let’s not waste any time and discuss the amazing performances turned in this past weekend.
Notre Dame QB Tyler Schweigert (247 YDS - 2 TDS - 30 YDS Rushing - 1 TD) was sensational in a 42-7 victory. Some other QBs who played extremely well in a losing effort were Cactus Shadow’s Jaden White (150 YDS - 2 TDS) and Seth Gallardo (230 YDS - 2 TDS). Both White and Gallardo had amazing Seasons for their teams. In a winning effort, My Recruits 2022 Phenom Casa Grande’s Angel Flores (194 YDS - 1 TD - 117 YDS Rushing - 2 TDS) continues to lead his team in a masterful way. Another QB who came up huge Friday night and actually caught the game winning points was 2021 Liberty QB Brock Mast (182 YDS - 2 TDS).
A few WRs who were extremely impressive Friday Night were Basha’s Trent Pennington (100 YDS - 1 TD) and Casteel’s Zach Miller (5 REC - 72 YDS - 14.4 AVG).
The Running Back list for My Recruits is short, spotlighting Campo Verde’s RB Caden Calloway’s eye opening performance of 201 YDS Rushing and 3 TDS and Chaparral’s Jared Williams. Williams and his team had a huge victory against one of the best teams in the state, the Queen Creek Bull Dogs, defeating them 26-8. Williams rushed for 195 YDS and 3 TDS.
The My Recruits Defensive Players were definitely on fire in the first round of the playoffs. A few players who did not walk away with the win but continued to impress are Verrado’s Cam Coronado (14 TOT - 1 TFL) and his teammate Julian Virgen (9 TOT). Another group we would like to spotlight is the fearsome threesome at Cactus which includes Defensive Lineman Vincent Burgo, Ethan Price and Mason Cullop. The three accounted for 13 TOT and 3 TFL as they continue to impress. Another pair of teammates who were nothing short of sensational were Liberty DBs Shane Pitts (9 TOT - 1 FF) and All-State Safety Jax Stam (15 TOT - 1 FR). One more Defender who had an amazing game leading his team to victory was Campo Verde LB Mark Liano who was all over the field totally 12 tackles.
As we know, My Recruits selects 2 Players as My Recruits Athletes of the week who were so incredible in their performance, they must be talked about separately! This week the 2 players are on the same team and the same side of the ball! Having watched them play this game live, the only word I can find to describe the performance turned in by 2022 LB Brandon Craddock (15 TOT - 2 Sacks - 3 TFL) and his partner in crime 2023 LB Blake Ware (8 TOT - 2.5 Sacks - 3.5 TFL - 1 FF - 1 FR) is Masterful! What these teammates have done all season defensively for the Eagles can only be described as masterful. Congratulations to this weeks My Recruits Athletes of the Week, Blake Ware and Brandon Craddock!
