My Recruits Report - 11.06.2020
As we roll into Arizona Week 6 and playoff games around the country, the My Recruits Report is hot off the press! Let’s start with the QB’s that lit up the scoreboard. Liberty Senior QB Brock Mast (11-17, 250 YDS, 4 TDs and 1 Rushing TD) has his team playing championship style football as they make a run at another 6A State Title. A few other big arms that stood out last week were Casa Grande’s Angel Flores had 152 YDS Passing, 135 YDS Rushing and 2 TDs. Red Mountain’s Evan Svoboda had 232 Passing YDS, 3 TDs and a perfect passer rating. Mountain Ridge Sophomore QB Brendan Anderson played only one half of football and threw for close to 200 YDS and 5 TDs.
As we know the Quarterbacks are only as good as those Monster Offensive Lineman in front of them. A couple of big boys who impressed in the trenches last week were Carl Hayden 2022 OL Andrew Lopez, 2021 Center for Valley Vista Garrett Sutliffe, 2021 OL for Blue Ridge HS Dimitri Muncy, and the duo from Greenway of Zach Bauer and Brent Kenyon. These big boys had great games and deserved some recognition. The rest of the Offensive Players that stood out to us were Central WR Carter Allen (7-110-1TD), and a pair of receivers from Basha; Trent Pennington and Carson Bachman. The duo combined for 3 TDs. River Valley RB Zach Hammett who is new to My Recruits had 210 YDS Rushing and 3 TDs. Another 3 TD performance was turned in by Casa Grande’s Jacob Thomas and for the 3rd week in a row, Lake Havasu Star RB, Isaac Stopke cracks the 200 YD mark Rushing for 242 and 3 TDs.
Shooting over to Georgia, 2 players that we want to recognize who had great performances were 2021 Athlete Kelby Turner (115 APY, 5 TOT, and 1 INT) and Dante Sacco (215 APY, 1TD).
Defensively, the Linebacker combination from Sandra Day O’Connor, of Brandon Craddock (19 TOT, 2 TFL) and Blake Ware (11 TOT, 1 TFL) continue to dominate. Another monster defensive player you hear us talk about a lot is Senior Defensive Tackle from Williams Field, Aaron Wolfcale-Holsten (7TOT, 1 Sack).
Since we identified 3 My Recruits Players of the Week, last week, we are only going to be picking 1 this week… And that one is Gilbert’s Senior QB Gavin Goulette. The Senior in his first game, off his transfer, was an eye opening 24-37, 392 YDS, 4 TDs while adding 32 Rushing YDS and 1 TD. Gavin now becomes eligible for the My Recruits Scholarship.
