My Recruits Report - 10.29.2020
After a week off, we apologize, but the My Recruits Report is back… and Boy did we have some players stand out all over the field!
Normally we get started behind Center but too many guys got down and dirty on the Defensive side of the ball this week. Starting with the four-headed monster over at Cactus, Ethan Price (5 TOT, 1 TFL), Vincent Burgo (5 TOT, 2 TFL), Mason Cullup who is dominating up front and JoJo Lagafuaina who recorded his first interception of the season. They were able to hold the high powered Greenway rushing attack to 14 points.
A couple of other players who definitely dominated were Williamsfield’s Aaron Wolfcale-Holsten (8 TOT, 2 TFL, 2 Sacks), Centennial’s DJ Gleash(7 TOT, 2 Sacks), Campo Verde’s Mark Liano (5 TOT, 1 TFL, 1 Sack) and switching states Missouri D-Lineman Trystin Voss for Logan-Rodgersville High School dominated with 13 TOT, 2 TFL and 1 Sack. Desert Edge’s Max Garcia continues to impress despite being frequently double teamed with 4 TOT and 1 TFL. Sandra Day O’Connor’s Brandon Craddock had a huge night as he received his medallion for the Ed Doherty Award. Craddock turned in a great performance with 12 TOT and 2 TFL. O’Connor’s Sophomore LB Blake Ware also turned in an amazing performance with 8 TOT, 2 TFL, 1 Sack and 1 PD. Wrapping up the Defensive side of the ball, 2 guys every week having huge performances are Deer Valley’s Jaden Stewart (10 TOT) and Lake Havasu’s Jon Justice( 5 TOT and 3 Sacks). These 2 Defensive Leaders for their respective Teams will match up between each other in Week 5.
Switching over to the Offensive side of the ball, starting out in Missouri with the unstoppable Windsor High School Dynamic Duo Dylan Witherspoon(63 YDS Rushing, 3 TD) and his brother Dalton Witherspoon(278 YDS Rushing, 3 TDS) has Windsor poised to make a State Title run. Chaparral’s Capri Hamilton (5 REC, 61 YDS) was a contributing factor to the Teams victory as was RB Jared Williams(169 YDS Rushing, 2 TDs). Sandra Day O’Connor’s JD Groff continues to impress Division 1 Coaches, grabbing 7 balls for 87 YDS and 1 TD. Campo Verde’s Caden Calloway was back in last years form running wild for 201 YDS and 2 TDs.
We all know the My Recruit's Players are constantly producing behind Center. Let’s take a look at the guys who stood out this week. Blue Ridge High School’s PJ London put on a show going 14/17, 251 YDS, 2 TDs, while Rushing for another 100 YDS and 2 TDs… Oh by the way, he snuck in another interception at Safety! Another impressive performance was turned in by 2022 dual threat QB from Casa Grande Angel Flores(9/14, 216 YDS, 1 TD and 103 Rushing YDS & 3 TDs). A couple of other QBs who did not disappoint were Cactus Shadow’s Jaden White(8/16. 116 YDS, 2 TDs, 82 Rushing, 1 TD) and Shadow Ridge’s Seth Gallardo(19/32, 224 YDS). Seth also had 73 YDS Rushing.
We have come to that part of the article where we select the players of the week! Starting with 2023 RB from Willow Canyon Vance Cooper. The Sophomore exploded for 217 YDS and 3 TDs. Also making Player of the Week is arguably Arizona’s bets Offensive Lineman, Chaparral’s Mason Osborn. Osborn had 7… That’s Right!… 7 Pancake Blocks while dominating the entire night! And last but not least, Moon Valley High School’s Jordan Richardson had 100 All Purpose YDS and 2 TDs on Offense, and on Defense had 9 Tackles, 2 FF and 1 Fumble Recovery for a 99 YD TD. Congratulations to all My Recruits and our Players of the Week! Please do not forget the Players of the Week are eligible for the My Recruits Scholarship!
