MY RECRUITS PLAYER SPOTLIGHT: GIORDAN HANKS

Hanks is a 2024 QB you need to get on your radar ASAP, because this kid is going to blow up and add to that long list of elite Arizona QB’s. He sizes up with an excellent frame at 6’4” 185lbs and has a live arm with natural arm talent. He shows a good pre-snap read and seems to know where he’s going with the football immediately. He stands tall in the pocket and delivers with a high release. He’s displayed solid arm strength and placement with the ability to fit in tight window throws with velocity and timing. He does a great job extending plays with the pocket collapses or during coverage sacks to escape and either deliver darts downfield off-platform or pick up yards with his feet. Don’t underestimate his ability to run, as he was a big play threat on the ground at the frosh level. 

Hanks has attended some reputable camps such as the Elite 11, Elev8 Academy, QB Universe, QB Elite, AZ Combine, and the NP Showcase where he was named Co-MVP. Former UCLA Coach Randy Taylor says “They better watch out for this one!” He has a competitive drive and remains positive and motivated in adverse situations. His tight relationship with his coaches and teammates allows him to grow as a football player and a leader on and off the field, which contributes to his early success.

The kid is a dedicated football player at a young age. In the offseason, he trains with field work 2-3 times a week where he has a desire to learn and breakdown defensive film and coverages to find the soft spots. Hanks has a lot of intangibles at an early stage in his career, and will only continue to develop and get better. Hanks is also a valued member of the My Recruits platform with Coach Perrone. Perrone goes onto add “It’s going to be fun to recruit for this guy.”
