Arizona’s Best DB you have not heard of!!

Speed, agility, and athlethisim are just some of the accolades that 2024 Chandler Preparatory High School DB, Creon Fulgham possess at 5’9”, 155lbs this Top prospect has a 4.7 second 40 yard, 185lbs bench, 265lbs squat, and 185lbs clean.
During his 2021-2022 season, Fulgham had 47 tackles, 7 interceptions, 9 pass break ups, and 5 receiving touchdowns. He was recognized with the 1st Team All Region Defensive Back, Biggest Hit of the Year (2020), and Defensive Player of the Year (2022). With a 3.7 GPA, Fulgham is a hardworking student athlete who has won the Artisan Award in 2018 and 2020.

Fulgham is a very versatile athlete! In Addition to football, Fulgham wrestled all through junior high and his freshman year of high school. He won the junior high 155lb state title and went on to win the CAA Wrestler of the Year Award in Arizona in 8th grade. Fulgham also ran track in junior high and his freshman year of high school, who says track is his next favorite sport outside of football. He usually runs the 100, 200, 400, 4x100, 4x400, triple jump and long jump, which impacts his skills to make him a threat on the football field. Fulgham also won the 2021 Iron Titan Award.

Work ethic and desire to win separates Fulgham from his competition. Fulgham works hard to not only play hard but to understand his opponents and what their tendencies are. He spends time dissecting film to recognize what players are going to do on certain plays and also emphasizes his time outside of practice to keep his skills sharp. Most comfortable in a cover 3 defense, this DB can play it all! He is training hard and learning to become more adaptable to different coverages, man or zone. During Creon’s offseason, he looks to get faster and stronger. One way he keeps his momentum going is by running track for his high school. In terms of film, Fulgham watches past year’s film to find what he can improve on for the next season. He also sometimes watches other teams film to be more prepare for games like looking at what offensive coordinators try to do and what their tendencies are. With football comes being faced with adversity. Fulgham tries to look at what he can control to lead his peers and teammates to achieve. One person Fulgham looks up to is Michael Jordan who, as we all know, was faced with loads of adversity and pressure throughout his career. Fulgham is also very involved in his Native American and Polynesian culture and traditional practices which helps him stay grounded and focused on what his goals are and what he has to do to get there.

When it comes to Fulgham’s academics, he takes it the most seriously. Fulgham has eyes from Coach Jeff Thomas from the University of Puget Sound, Coach Jairus Marlow from Chowan University, Coach Federico from the University of James Town, Coach Patrick Daberkow from Concordia University, Coach Matt McCarty from Northwestern College, Coach Nate Taylor from Ottawa University and Coach Nate Robinson from Graceland University. Fulgham has attend the NAU camp, the RVC combine Where college football coach Brandon Younger stated (this guy might be one of the best high school defensive backs I’ve seen) When looking at a school, Fulgham ’s first look is what school will give him a good education and a school that can fit his needs. Fulgham also looks for a team where he is able to learn and improve every year as his career goes on.
