2023 QB Series Spotlight: Brendan Anderson on FIRE at Ridge!!!
The QB Position is considered by many to be the most important position on and off the field, from not only an individual skill and ability standpoint but a Team Leadership standpoint as well.
With Many Family’s Selecting Different schools as options in today’s Day and Age, Brendan Anderson decided to restore The Ridge at Mountain Ridge HS! And play in his backyard!
Brendan at only 14 years old and already almost 6’1 has Quite a Resume!
To include
- Pop Warner D2 state champion
- Pop Warner Wescon regional champion
- Pop Warner national qualifier
- Lead all of AZ Pop Warner in TD passes in 2017 and 2018
- NYS state champion
- And now has the Mountain Ridge Freshman Team out to A 6-1 record through first 7 games this season.
So far this year Brendan's freshman stats through first 7 games - 89/126, 1751 yds passing, 24 tds, 5 int. In the Classroom Brendan carries A 4.0 GPA.
I had the honor of speaking with Mike Giovondo who said “Brendan is a strong arm, accurate passer and very hard worker. He's solid in and out of the pocket and a very good leader.“ Giavonndo expects big things for him! As Do We!
I also had the opportunity to speak with coach Randy Sliva, the Offensive Coordinator for Mountain Ridge. Coach Sliva said “We Are Excited for the future of the program with the leadership and ability Brendan has shown this year.”
This 2023 QB Prospect will be making noise in the Recruiting world!
