Top 2026 RB in AZ

Liberty High School in Peoria, AZ showcased several special young athletes this past season. AJ Smith, Star Freshman RB, was one that has a lot of coaches talking!

A dominant RB in a 1 back set, Anthony possesses great vision & balance and can create his own lanes to run through. but it’s what he does after he hits the lane that is most impressive. “This kid has a next level speed and can break away” said an opposing coach that played against AJ. Anthony is a beast in the weight room, squatting over 325 pounds. He also is a tireless worker extremely dedicated to his training. Anthony does footwork & resistance training as well as speed training 2 times a week. He also hits the weights about 4 times weekly . what does this young man do in his down time you ask? He studies film of the top RBs and absorbs as much knowledge as he can! Anthony is a star in the classroom as well as on the field. Smith has made the principal’s list in every quarter and is taking all honors classes. He plans on taking dual enrollment beginning 11th grade.

“I am excited for camp season this year” said Smith. This will be the first time that many coaches will get their first look at AJ Smith, but Smith plans on running Track before camp season and will definitely turn heads when he sets on the track!

One thing is for sure, AJ Smith is one of the Top 2026 Players in the state of Arizona and there is no telling how far this top talent will go as his journey continues!
