Brayde Owen is a 6’1”, 195lbs, class of 2023 football player at Gladstone High School in Oregon. Having leadership skills, ability to adapt and overcome different situations that can happen on and off the field is what separates Owen from his competitors. His ability to adapt when in the face of adversity and pressure really sets Owen apart from his competition. His strategy is to think of his training and what got him to this level, which makes him stay calm in those situations.
When it comes to the offseason, Owen keeps himself busy. When Owen isn’t playing football, he plays center field and catcher for his high school team and catcher for his club premier team. He also is involved in 7v7 scrimmages and working out in the weight room. Owen’s strengths in baseball helps him on the football field, and his strengths from football helps him on the mound. Owen is quick in the outfield and can get anywhere with his speed and also has good control of perception. Owen received the All League OF as a sophomore playing on varsity last season. Owen has attended Western Oregon, Lewis and Clark camps over the years. Owen has a great relationship with his coaches and teammates. Owen’s athletic awards are recognized by receiving the 2020 1st Team All League DB, 2021 1st Team All League OF, 2021 1st Team All League DB, 2021 1st Team All League KR/PR, and 2021 1st Team All League WR along with his notable stats being 2 pick 6’s his junior year on varsity football.
Along with Owen’s outstanding achievements in athletics, he has great goals for his academics. Being a 3 time Honor Roll student, Owen keeps his academics in check. When looking at schools, he looks for schools that have a great business program as he wants to pursue a business degree. Some schools that are keeping an eye out for Owen are OSU, Brown University, NAU, Colorado State, Idaho, CWU, Weber State, SOU, and Middlebury College. Owen shows all potential to be a football star.
